Mechanical Properties of Steel S355JR
- Tensile Strength is between 470 N/mm and 630 N/mm, depending on thickness
- Minimum Yield Strength is 355 N/mm, depending on thickness.
- Excellent impact resistance – Charpy impact tests at 20°C

Welding
S355JR steel has good welding properties, with and without pre-heating. Welding should be followed by high-temperature processing.
